Job Duties and Responsibilities:

The Pre-Op/PACU RN will provide direct patient care and addresses the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. 

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

Communicate with surgeons and anesthesiologists continuously and as needed about patient conditionsAssist with the maintenance of surgical equipment and inventory, Participate in performance improvement activitiesAssess the operating room for equipment functioning and readinessObtain supplies for individual cases and ensure all appropriate needs of the surgical operating team are metMonitor, position and assist patients during procedures

Shift: 12hr shifts, variable start times

ON CALL REQUIREMENT: Week nights and weekends

Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

Minimum of an Associate's Degree in NursingBSN preferred

License/Certification Requirements:

Current CA RN licenseBLS through the American Heart Association

Experience:

Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience required
