Its team of experts works to create a treatment plan to meet each patient's specific needs. The center's outpatient infusion center offers chemotherapy and supportive services, including 18 private rooms for treatment sessions six hours or longer. Summary of Essential Duties: + Assist with in office procedures, clinic flow, practice management, and help to facilitate continuity of care + Manage outpatient chemotherapy schedule, set up new oral chemotherapy medications electronically and manage monthly prescriptions + Telephone triage of clinic patients with needs ranging from chemotherapy, results review, symptom management + Manage acute and chronic side effects after autologous stem cell transplant. + Administer intermuscular and subcutaneous chemotherapy injections, in addition, work with CADD pumps for continuous infusions, access, de-access and trouble shoot PAS-ports and chest ports. + Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, treatment side effects **Qualifications** Qualifications: **Education:** + Graduate of an accredited nursing program required + BSN preferred **License/Certification:** + Current, unrestricted RN license in the State of California + BLS certification from the American Heart Association required + Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred or willing to obtain within a year from hire/start date **Experience:** + Competency in intravenous skills and vascular access device management required + A minimum of 3 year of acute care nursing experience required + At least 3 years of experience in oncology nursing **Req ID** : 3423 **Working Title** : Registered Nurse III - Cancer Center Exams - 8 Hour Days **Department** : Cancer Center Exams **Business Entity** : Cedars-Sinai Medical Center **Job Category** : Nursing **Job Specialty** : Nursing **Overtime Status** : NONEXEMPT **Primary Shift** : Day **Shift Duration** : 8 hour **Base Pay** : $56.14 - $89.82 Cedars-Sinai is an EEO employer.
