We aim to provide deep expertise across all specialties, including transplantation, stem cell therapy, congenital heart disease, women’s heart health, valve disorders, arrhythmia and hypertension.Summary of Essential Duties:As a Clinical Nurse III you will perform a variety of direct patient care activities specific to the unit and needs of the patient populationPerform patient assessments, triage patient concerns, provide clinical education to patients for pre-ops and other disease management educationManage anticoagulation, coordinate patient care, and maintain overall management of the ambulatory cardiac clinic with over 20 providers dailyObtain prior authorizationsTriage phone calls from patients, pharmacies and other providersIdentify the ability of pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients to follow direction/instructions, as well as safety concerns in the age-related populationsInstitute additional measures to provide a safe environmentQualifications:
QualificationsEducation:Graduate of an accredited nursing program requiredBSN highly preferredLicense/Certification:Current, unrestricted California RN license requiredACLS from the American Heart Association requiredSpecialty certification required (or willing to obtain within one year of hire)Experience:A minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience requiredAt least 3 years of experience in a specialty area (procedure center, ambulatory clinic and/or cardiology) strongly preferredExcellent IV skills requiredCedars-Sinai is an EEO employer.
