SUMMARY:

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you’re the engine and the heart of patient care at Rochester Regional Health. The Inpatient Oncology/Hematology Unit at Rochester General Hospital is an Acute Medical Unit that specializes in Hematology, Oncology, Gyn/Oncology, and Palliative Care. The focus of the unit is treatment of various cancers and the complications that arise from treatments and the diseases. The unit works closely with the Lipson Cancer Center.

STATUS: Full Time (36/hrs per week)

LOCATION: Rochester General Hospital

DEPARTMENT:  Oncology/Hematology (Sands 600)

SCHEDULE: Day/Evening/Night, every other Weekend/Holiday

EDUCATION:

AS: Nursing (Required)

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: 

BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA), RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
