The Wound Ostomy service are provided by Certified Wound Ostomy Nurses (WONs)—highly trained specialists in a distinct and well-defined field of nursing practice. This specialty is international in scope and grounded in a rigorous, evidence-based body of knowledge, aligning with the American Board of Nursing Specialties' definition of nursing specialties. The Registered Nurse Inpatient Wound & Ostomy is responsible for providing specialized wound and ostomy care for patients in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and education.
What you will do:
Assess, develop, and implement individualized wound and ostomy care plans. Provide direct patient care, including wound assessment, dressing changes, and pressure injury prevention.
Integral part of tracking data, and collaborating with quality for Quality improvement and patient outcomes
Educate patients and serve as content experts for staff professional development and standards of practice
Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to optimize wound healing outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited college or university affiliated nursing program. BSN graduate required within 2 years of hire date.
Licensure: Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse RN in New York.
Certification: BLS/CPR. CWON or WOCN certification a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 4 years of Acute Care Nursing, with preference for wound or ostomy care experience.
Work Schedule: Full Time- 40 Hours-Day Shift, Monday thru Friday. No Weekends/Holidays

Pay Range: $41.15 - $56.75
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
