MSH provides acute care psychiatric inpatient treatment for adults with serious mental illness. The*Psychiatric Nursing Intern under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse*would assist and provide support to clients in maintaining a therapeutic environment. Other responsibilities include ensuring patient safety; acting to implement nursing and medical instruction for patients; and charting patient information as directed. Additionally, they take an active role in learning the job requirements of a Registered Nurse by shadowing, and when appropriate, assisting in tasks as directed. Will refine skills of Mileu Management and Therapeutic Communication.
