Right now we’re looking for a Registered Nurses to work in our Withdrawal Management Program.
Location:Wilson Site – Cross Site Coverage may be required – Must be willing to work on all Mental Health Units
Hours of work: Day shift Monday to Friday, some evenings may be required
Hourly Rate Range: $39.07 - $56.00

Requirements:
Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.Current BCLS/CPR certification required.BScN preferred.Certification in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing required, or willingness to obtain within one year of hire.Training in Motivational Interviewing, CBT and DBT preferredTwo years recent mental health/addiction nursing experience required.Demonstrated ability to provide individual/group counseling for chemically dependent patients.Excellent psychiatric/addiction assessment skills, including demonstrated knowledge of crisis intervention skills.Experience in medical withdrawal management preferred.Demonstrates awareness and understanding in working with individuals from different cultures.Demonstrates an excellent understanding re: the etiology of addiction and mental health illnesses.An awareness and Knowledge/experience in Trauma Informed Care preferredGood knowledge of the Mental Health Act.Demonstrated excellent communication skills.Excellent interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills, with an ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.Must be able to work effectively in a fast paced environment.Demonstrates initiative and creativity in the workplace.Must be able to work individually as well as work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team.Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.
