The Med/Surg Foat Pool consists of Registered Nurses that work throughout the hospital on six different medical/surgical units: Cardiac, Oncology/GYN, Ortho/Neuro, Medicine/Renal, General Surgery and ICU. A Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for the planning, implementing and evaluation of care for a given patient population with the established standards and practices of Crouse Hospital. This process is enacted through direct clinical practice, management of patient care and general professional duties. Pay Rate: $33.00- $47.86/hr based on experience. Education/Experience Requirements Required: + Graduate of an accredited associate degree *A Graduate Nurse (GN) must complete NCLEX within 120 days of employment. + Must have 1 year of Medical/Surgical experience Preferred: + Bachelor of Science in Nursing from accredited nursing program or higher degree *Bachelor’s degree required within 8 years of being hired or those licensed after 2017. Licensure/Certification Requirements Required: + Current New York State licensure as a Registered Nurse + Basic Life Support (BLS) Preferred: + Certification in a specialty area.
