Registered Nurse - Neurosciences and Specialty Care Surgery

Regions Hospital is looking to hire an exceptional, patient focused Registered Nurse to join our Neurosciences and Specialty Care Surgery Unit and make a difference for our patients and our community. 

Our South 10 unit is a 36-bed unit with all private rooms. It is a comprehensive stroke certified by the Joint Commission, providing the highest level of stroke care. The unit also cares for acutely ill adult & geriatric patients with general and progressive care neurological problems & spinal cord disorders resulting in surgery, and patients with post op spinal drains. Care is also provided for patients with surgical specialty needs including urology and ENT procedures.

Our Professional Nursing Practice Model offers patient and family-centered care that maintains an unwavering focus on what matters most: caring and healing at the patient’s bedside. As a nursing professional you will be empowered to manage your clinical practice and working environment through our Shared Governance Model, which focuses on evidence-based nursing practice. Regions Hospital supports nurses with an individualized orientation including Transition to Regions Hospital Practice program which is a nurse residency structured program to support learning, role transition, and retention of nurses. Work Schedule: 0.70 Evening/Night rotation. Every other weekend. All 8 hour shifts. 

Required Qualifications: 

•Degree in Nursing
•Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota
•CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers

Preferred Qualifications:

•BSN/MSN strongly preferred and generally expected that BSN/MSN is obtained within 5 years of hire
•One year of acute care RN experience is preferred
