Registered Nurse Operating Room

Inova Loudoun Hospital is currently hiring experienced Operating Room Registered Nurses to support our patients working day shift on weekends. This is a weekends only role, and the expectation is work Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Saturday, Sunday, Monday- 12 hr. day shift hours.

The Perioperative Services Team at Inova Loudoun Hospital supports 8 Operating Rooms, 1 Procedure Room and 2 Endoscopy Suites.  Our facility features 16 private Pre-Op rooms and 14 PACU bays where our patients are prepared for surgery and recover post operatively.   We are a growing community hospital offering surgical services in:  Trauma, General, Breast, Colon-Rectal, Gynecology, Urology, Orthopedics, Podiatry, Neurosurgery, ENT, Vascular, Thoracic, Maxillofacial and Plastic.

Registered Nurse Operating Room Job Responsibilities:

Performs comprehensive patient health assessments by interpreting multiple, sometimes conflicting, data sets and synthesizing their interrelationships. Formulates individualized plans of care based upon assessment findings and interpreting trends in patient populations to achieve best practice. Supports and empowers patients and families as they progress through the healthcare continuum from health promotion to end of life decisions. Advocates for patients' rights from the patient/family perspective and provides counsel and acts as a resource to resolve issues. Anticipates ethical, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients/families and assists staff in assessing patients' learning needs.

Requirements:

Work Schedule: Full time, only weekends, 12 hrs. day shift, must work Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Saturday, Sunday, Monday Education: BSN or AD; if RN has an AD, must complete BSN within 5 years of start date. Experience: Minimum 1 year of direct Operating Room (OR) experience as a Registered Nurse. Licensure: Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse.  Certification: Basic Life Support with American Heart Association.
