Job Summary:  The operating room nurse intern program prepares the registered nurse to provide the specialized skills and competencies related to principals and practices of operating room nursing. A minimum of 24 months in the OR is required from an intern once the internship is complete.

Qualifications:  Current RN license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state (compact) license).  BSN preferred; professional nursing certification preferred.  Meets general hospital and departmental competency requirements.  A minimum of two years nursing experience is preferred, but not required.
