This role functions within the new Bloomington Hospital. The Outpatient Recovery Unit consists of 12 beds and operates Monday-Friday, 24 hours a day.  Our patients are primarily surgical and need extended observation after surgery with overnight stay and morning discharge.  Our nurses will work with a variety of surgical patients including total joint recoveries, neurosurgeries, general surgeries, and urology. When the unit is full, we have 12 patients with 3:1 RN staffing.  If you are looking for a positive environment in which to learn and grow, this unit is for you!

Qualifications 

Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred. Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license. Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
