Responsibilities
At Virginia Mason Fransiscan Health you'll be able to grow personally and professionally as you make a dramatic difference in the lives of others.
This is a twenty-seven bed inpatient medical/surgical unit with a pulmonary specialty and care of urology patients. Primary Nursing is the patient care philosophy in collaboration with patients, families, and all professional disciplines. Nursing staff are experts in respiratory assessment and management of patients experiencing thoracic surgery. Care is provided for patients ranging in age from young adult through older adult. The patient population includes those with: COPD, TB, thoracic surgery, ENT surgery, Cystic Fibrosis, and Asthma.
Responsibilities: The registered nurse provides high quality, skilled nursing services and includes:
Assists the patients to achieve optimum health and functional health status following an illness requiring hospitalization.Collaborating with physicians and other health care professionals.Prepares the patient and family for discharge to home or another setting for continued care.Qualifications
Current WA State RN license is required.
1 or more years recent RN experience with acute care patients.
Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
