The Staff RN assigned to the Rehabilitation Unit cares for adult and geriatric patients. What you will do in this role: + Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for assigned patients. + Responsible for meeting the Standards of Practice for the Rehabilitation Unit and managing all assigned personnel, supplies, and equipment. + Participates in activities to plan, measure, assess and improve the quality of patient care. + Instructs patients/families regarding the disease process. + Responsible for additional admission paperwork specific to the Rehabilitation Unit. + Participates in weekly patient care conferences, as needed. + Assumes the responsibility of charging the unit, as needed. + Responsible for maintaining customer friendly atmosphere. + Scans supplies from P.O.U.area. **What qualifications you will need:** + Educational requirements appropriate for meeting population-specific needs of patients assigned to the Rehab Unit + Associate's degree, bachelor's preferred + 12 months nursing rehab experience preferred + Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date + Registered Nurse As a **full-service, 420+ bed acute care hospital** , HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood (https://careers.hcahealthcare.com/pages/hca-houston-healthcare-kingwood) has provided the northeast Houston community with high-quality, cost-effective healthcare for over 25 years.
