Position Qualifications: + ASN or BSN in Nursing Degree required + NJ Registered Nurse license or approved compact license required + Minimum of one (1) year experience in the specialty required + Strong communication and organizational skills required + BLS from American Health Associate required + Ability to attend new hire orientation as a per diem required + Psychiatric or Behavorial Health certifications and/or national nursing certifications preferred Essential Position Functions:The Registered Nurse (RN) organizes and administers individualized age-specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care. Supports philosophy, objectives and the mission and vision of Saint Barnabas Medical Center and the Department of Nursing. Practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, TJC requirements and other regulatory agencies. Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning. Participates in unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities.
