Registered Nurse: AMG Pediatric Rheumatology is seeking Per Diem RN - . Possible 1 or 2 days per week (no weekends). Hours 8:30am-4:30pm Accountabilities: Principal Accountabilities: + Provide telephone management and triage of calls from patients, families, clinicians and other healthcare members + Navigates patient’s insurance and pharmacy benefits for obtaining prior authorizations for specialty medications + Provide patient education regarding new rheumatologic diagnoses, subcutaneous injections and training, transition of care from pediatric to adult medication + Opportunity for research exists involving a multi-center, collaborative Northern American pediatric rheumatology registry + The RN provides care in accordance with the NJ Nurse Practice Act. The RN must successfully pass all required training to obtain security access to perform role, including EMR training, AMG clinical training, department specific clinical competencies, among others. + Will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served. + Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families. + Must have excellent communication, organization, and computer skills. + Must have the ability to work in a highly specialized area with a focus on patient safety and efficiency Required: + BSN required. Preferred: + Capable of working in a fast- paced environment while maintaining aseptic technique and providing excellent safe patient care. + Prior Ambulatory Surgery OR Medical/Surgical experience is highly preferred + BLS, ACLS required upon hire + Acute care experience + Specialty knowledge, skills, and abilities may be required based on department/specialty group assigned
