The Wound Care/Hyperbaric Nurse will provide specialized care for patients with chronic or complex wounds, using advanced treatment methods including hyperbaric oxygen therapy. The nurse will assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment plans, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Wound Care: Perform assessments and develop personalized care plans for patients with acute or chronic wounds. Implement wound care treatments, including debridement, dressing changes, and infection control. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT): Administer and monitor hyperbaric oxygen therapy treatments to patients, ensuring safety and effective outcomes. Patient Education: Educate patients and families on wound care management, preventative strategies, and proper aftercare to enhance healing and avoid complications. Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, care plans, and treatment outcomes. Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and improve patient outcomes.Qualifications:
Registered Nurse (RN) with current state of Georgia licensure. Wound Care Certification (WCC), Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy certification (CHRN), or other relevant certifications are highly preferred. Strong clinical assessment skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.#Indeed123
