**This recruitment offers a $10,000 Signing Bonus to eligible new employees joining UW Medicine** **Harborview Medical Center** has an outstanding opportunity for an **Registered Nurse (RN)** to join our **Madison Clinic** .
**WORK SCHEDULE:**
+ 100% FTE
+ 8 hr Days, M-F **DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:** **The Madison Clinic at Harborview** offers primary care and wraparound services for persons with HIV, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, or ability to pay. We also provide primary care to HIV-negative persons who might benefit from having an HIV expert involved in their medical care, including those who are interested in pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) for HIV prevention and counseling.

+ Opportunity to provide career growth **PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Provide nursing care to patients with HIV or at risk of contracting HIV in a primary care setting
+ Perform in person and telephone triage assessments, to include the patient's physical and psychological state
+ Return calls to patients and monitor and respond to MyChart messages
+ Perform vital sign measurement and transfer patients to higher level of care as needed
+ Respond to patient needs while present in clinic, including collection of blood, urine, feces, and swabs for testing; administer injections/medications as ordered; provide IV fluid and medication occasionally; perform wound care, foot care, and ear lavage; assist with simple I & D procedure
+ Provide patient education regarding health care maintenance, medication management, and safe sex practices
+ Perform point of care testing, including rapid HIV tests, U/A, urine pregnancy, glucose
+ Participate in coordination of care for patients recently discharged or receiving services, medications, or supplies from other disciplines or institutions **REQUIREMENTS:**
+ Washington State or Multi-State RN license required by start date (active and unencumbered)
