Overview Fairview Health Services is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Rehab department at our University of Minnesota Medical Center (UMMC) West Bank Campus in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Schedule: This position will be working 0.6 FTE (48 hours every two weeks) on the rotating Day/Evening shift. This position is 8 hours and will work an every other weekend rotation. Please follow the link here to learn more information: https://www.fairview.org/benefits/tcmnarn About our Rehab department at the University of Minnesota Medical Center West Bank: Serves multiple diagnoses including neuro, ortho, oncology, amputee, spinal cord injury, transplant, etc. Primarily adults, however, see adolescents ages 13+. All core staff are required to pursue a rehab specialty, including geriatrics, neurology, lymphedema, swallow, NDT, etc. This supports a robust learning environment for newer clinicians, students, and lifelong learners. Approximately 50 therapy and tech staff at the 2 post-acute units Highly coordinated between all fields along with MD/Physiatrist, rehab nursing, social work, dietary, etc., with the primary goal to get patients home. 30 beds of Inpatient Rehab. Responsibilities Job Description As a Registered Nurse in our Rehab department, you will be responsible for: Demonstrates Clinical Competence in the utilization of FIM Instruments. Effectively collaborates with all members of the interdisciplinary patient care team. Demonstrates knowledge of rehabilitation principles and supports the philosophy of inpatient rehabilitation care. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Current Minnesota RN License. Completion of Rehab Nursing Certification within 24 months of hire. BLS (basic life support) Preferred Qualifications: 1+ years of RN experience. Experience in an acute inpatient rehabilitation setting and/or 1-year rehab nursing experience. Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
