Primary Objective\n

To ensure the delivery of quality patient care through effective oversight of triage functions, coordination of prescription prior authorizations, providing education and resources to patients and their families, and assisting with special procedures including UroNav and TRUS biopsies as well as Urodynamics testing.\n

Duties and Responsibilities\n

\u2022 Collaborates with all members of the Minnesota Urology Health Care Team to ensure the delivery of quality patient care.
\u2022 Conducts telephone interviews and assessments of new and existing patients.
\u2022 Develops and maintains triage protocol and implements follow-up procedures.
\u2022 Monitors triage function effectiveness and provides coaching and feedback to clinical staff.
\u2022 Initiates prescription prior authorizations for patient medications.
\u2022 Provides patient care assisting providers with procedures and a variety of tasks including patient intake, providing patient education, and documenting information accurately in EMR.
\u2022 Assists providers with special procedures including UroNav and TRUS biopsies.
\u2022 Administers Urodynamics testing.
\u2022 Provides patient education, coordinates appropriate provider consultation and identifies resources to assist patients and their families.
\u2022 Instructs patients and their families regarding medication and treatment preparation.

Qualifications\n\nRegistered Nurse (RN) licensed in the state of MN\nBachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.\nThree plus years of experience in clinical nursing; specialty practice experience preferred.\n\n
