Responsibilities Job Description The registered nurse(RN)is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and providing professional nursing care for patients in an ambulatory care setting. While following established standards and protocols, the registered nurse delivers care that is customized to the individual needs of the ages served by the clinic. The RN provides care for clinic patients following established nursing standards and practices. As a member of the patients care team, the RN supports quality patient and family-centered care principles through performing a variety of high-level functions to support the healthcare team and the patients/their support network. The nurse may connect with patients, and the public, to educate them about various medical conditions. The RN will have a solid understanding on how to maintain complete, timely and accurate clinical documentation for each patient and will actively look for opportunities to improve processes and workflow. Assess patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes. Implement nursing interventions based on plan of care. Evaluates care and the patient’s response to interventions and encouraged outcomes. Delivers care as delegated by physician/authorized practitioner to assigned population, or individual patient. Use communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes. Continuously work to improve work processes, environment, and the overall experience to serve customers and meet business goals. Qualifications Required Qualifications Current Minnesota RN License Preferred Qualifications One year of previous healthcare experience in ambulatory care settings Basic Life Support Certification Willingness to work at various sites is encouraged We find those that exceed in this role also exhibit these characteristics: High standard of creative prioritization skills and priority setting.
