More than 2,500 team members at more than 70 Tidelands Health locations bring our healing mission to life each day. **A Brief Overview** The Registered Nurse is responsible for the provision of nursing care based on standards of care and professional nursing practice; accountable for the outcomes of nursing care delivered in an emergency department setting. **What you will do** + Provide safety with blood culture draws, hand hygiene, patient identification, medication reconciliation, and patient medication education. + Demonstrate critical thinking abilities with patient care, physician contacts, and Administrative House Supervisors. + Handle emergent situations per nursing protocol + Appropriately contact physicians using sound judgment utilizing SBAR for pertinent information + Report critical test results within policy and document per nursing protocol **Education Qualifications** + Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) Required + Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred + Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) Preferred **Experience Qualifications** + Previous experience in an acute care critical care setting Preferred **Skills and Abilities** + Works with patients, families, physicians, and other health care providers. **Licenses and Certifications** + Registered Nurse with South Carolina Board of Nursing. Required + Basic Life Support Certified is required within 30 days of hire.
