Every other weekend and 2 major, 2 minor holiday’s a year required Emergency Department highlights: * 52 beds and more than 41,000 patient-visits a year * Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth * Level II Trauma * Comprehensive Stroke * Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team * Texas Health Plano 30-Minute Promise alleviates the worry that comes from long waits in the emergency department Here’s what you need: * Diploma of Nursing OR Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) required; * BSN preferred. * Other - CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency Required * One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program. * One year of Emergency experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred * Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire. * RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator and coordinator for quality patient care * Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire * BCLS -Basic Cardiac Life Support -Prior to providing independent patient care & maintained quarterly—required * ACLS-Advance Cardiac Life Support- within 90 days required * PALS-Pediatric Advance Life Support- within in 90 days required * TNCC-Trauma Nursing Core Course –within 12 months required * CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 60 Days Required What you will do: * The professional nurse exhibits understanding of basic human needs. * The professional nurse demonstrates an appreciation of unique meanings by: active listening and exemplifying a non-judgmental attitude * The professional nurse demonstrates recognition and understanding of patient’s affiliations. * Perform other duties as assigned More About Texas Health Plano: Since 1991, Texas Health Plano has served the communities of Plano, Frisco, Carrollton, Addison, Richardson and McKinney.
