At Saint Francis Hospital the Endoscopy Unit is a fast paced, procedural unit with a tight-knit team, functioning in a sterile environment. The Registered Nurse RN is responsible for delivering patient care for an assigned group of patients and directing and coordinating all nursing care according to established standards of practice.
What you will do
In this critical role, the Registered Nurse will provide in-patient and outpatient care: pre-, intra-, and post-procedure, including endoscopy, minor procedures, pain management, and bronchoscopy cases.
Uses the nursing process to assess needs, plan care, implement the plan, and evaluate the patient’s responses and progress toward goals.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited college or university affiliated nursing program. BSN graduate preferred.
Licensure: Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse RN in Connecticut.
Certification: BLS (AHA/ARC). ACLS Preferred
Preferred Skills:
Experience: 1-3 years of nursing experience. Acute Care, Endo or ICU/Critical Care nursing experience preferred.
Position Highlights and Benefits:
Work Schedule: Per Diem, Rotating Shifts
On Call Requirement: Requires a 30-minute or less commute back to Saint Francis Hospital for emergent cases. The average call is one night per week, 1-2 weekend days every 6 weeks, and 1-2 holidays per year.
