Registered Nurse (RN) - Intermediate Care Unit (Stepdown) *Day Shift*

Sentara Obici Hospital Stepdown is hiring a Registered Nurse for their 24-bed Intermediate Care Unit. All rooms are Private and include brand new bedside monitors.

Full-time


We provide care for higher acuity patients in the following areas: Neuro, Cardiac, Respiratory, Renal and Surgical (to name a few).

Typical patients on Stepdown include:
-Respiratory Failure (such as in Congestive Heart Failure, COVID, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease). These patients may include those on BIPAP’s and chronic trached ventilator patients.
-Stroke and seizure patients.
-Chest Pain, MI (heart attack), Congestive Heart Failure
-Renal Hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis patients
-Post op surgical patients (ostomy’s, extensive wounds such are decubs, VAT’s, ortho also)
