Our Nursing Team
Our team is highly engaged, skilled, and collaborative. We care for a diverse population honing specialty skills in the post op patient to deliver exceptional holistic care to our patients that include our entire interdisciplinary team. This allows us to care for patients with various comorbidities in a way that supports each other and creates a healing environment to deliver extraordinary patient-centered care.
Our Orientation Process
We orient all of our nurses by providing a 12-week orientation program with dedicated preceptors complemented by cardiac catheterization lab observation, one on one with our clinical coordinator, and basic arrhythmia training. We provide ongoing support during and after orientation through our Nurse Residency and Mentor Program. Our nurses have the opportunity to participate in local and national critical care education events. These events support our nurses in developing strong critical thinking skills and becoming expert clinicians in critical care.
Professional Growth
We encourage professional growth of all of our nurses through participation in our facilities shared governance committees, advancement on our hospital career ladder and the Progressive Critical Care Nurse (PCCN) through the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN).
