Registered Nurse (RN) - Interventional Radiology
**Overview:** Interventional Radiology (IR) is an exciting and growing medical specialty that uses advanced radiographic imaging to diagnose and treat abnormalities in blood vessels and organs. As a key member of our IR team, you will play an essential role in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients undergoing complex procedures. **Responsibilities:** - **Pre-Procedure Care:** Prepare patients for procedures by ensuring they are informed, comfortable, and ready for their treatment. - **Sedation & Monitoring:** Administer sedation and carefully monitor patients during procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort. - **Interdisciplinary Care:** Work closely with a team of medical professionals to provide comprehensive care throughout the procedure. - **Post-Procedure Care:** Provide thorough post-procedure care, closely monitoring the patient’s recovery and ensuring they are stable. - **Patient & Family Education:** Educate patients and their families about the procedure, expected outcomes, and necessary follow-up care. - **Ongoing Education:** Participate in detailed orientation programs and ongoing education to ensure that your skills and knowledge are always up to date. **Qualifications:** - **Certification:** 50% of our nurses are certified in various specialties. Position Compensation Range: $39.90 - $53.00 Hourly MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire. Experience: 2 years of relevant experience preferred Licensure: Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required. ACLS certification required within 6 mos from date of hire. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs.
