Overview Registered Nurse Medical Oncology Works 32 - 40 hours per week: four shifts Monday through Friday. Responsibilities * Provides exemplary patient care and works closely with physicians and members of the interdisciplinary team. * Assesses patients and modifies care as needed. * Possesses strong communication skills to promote coordinated care throughout treatment. * Provides ongoing care coordination between clinic visits by communicating with families, healthcare team members, and other involved agencies. * Educates patients and families regarding disease management, medications, and specialized home equipment. * Triages and manages patient messaging and communication via phone and patient portal. * Assists with completion of prescriptions, medication and DME insurance authorizations, and other community networking resources and referrals. Qualifications * Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program required. * Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred. * Two years of nursing experience, oncology preferred.
