Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical (Telemetry) Full Time Nights Our Medical Surgical department is looking for top skilled RN’s. Is that you? Work location: Texas Health Plano, 6200 W. Parker Plano, TX 75093 Work hours: Full-time, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hours shifts, Nights 7:00 pm – 7:00 am Medical Surgical department highlights: Med/surg Telemetry (29 Beds)- Medical Surgical patients and patients on Cardiac Telemetry. We take a wide variety of patients which includes telemetry, post cath management, some cardiac drips etc. Ratio is 1:5 but occasionally goes up to 6 on night shift. This unit has high patient satisfaction and employee engagement scores. Here’s What You Need: * Nursing Diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred * CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required) * Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire * BCLS – upon hire – expiration date greater than 3 months preferred * ACLS -within 90 days required * CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 60 days of hire * 1 Year Experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required * One (1) year of RN experience in Med/surg Tele strongly preferred What You Will Do: * Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process * assesses the patient * plans the care of the patient * intervenes as appropriate * evaluates the effectiveness of interventions * Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care. * Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information * Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers Additional perks of being a Texas Health · Benefits include 401k, PTO, medical, dental, Paid Parental Leave, flex spending, tuition reimbursement, student Loan forgiveness as well as several other benefits. · Delivery of high quality of patient care through nursing education, nursing research and innovations in nursing practice. · Strong Unit Based Council (UBC). · A supportive, team environment with outstanding opportunities for growth.
