The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is seeking a PRN, day/night shift Registered Nurse. This is a PRN position, and hours will be as needed. Strongly prefer NICU Nurses with 2 or more years’ NICU experience. 

Inova Fair Oaks Hospital’s level III NICU offers 24-hour staffing from highly experienced, board-certified neonatologists, specially trained and certified nurses and board-certified lactation consultants, dedicated to neonatal intensive care. Our 19 private rooms have the supplies and equipment to perform all the necessary care without having to move your baby. Nurse to patient ratio is 1:3.

Job requirements

Experience - 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse, 1 year of NICU nursing required Strongly prefer 2 or more years NICU RN experience Certification - Basic Life Support; For Infusion Center, obtain chemo card within 3 months of hire  Licensure - Licensed Registered Nurse or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse

Education:

BSN from an accredited school of nursing.

If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date. BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required from American Heart Association (AHA)

RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a RN
