The primary responsibility of the RN is: * Knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on age of the patient and their clinical condition. * Formulates a teaching plan based upon identified learning needs and evaluates the effectiveness of learning; family is included in teaching as appropriate. * Demonstrates an ability to assist physicians with procedures and perform services requiring technical and manual skills. * Demonstrates ability to perform treatments/infusions and provide services to level licensure. * Accurately records, handles and labels specimens; demonstrates care of specimens * Appropriately responds to the patient in an emergency or physically distressful situation. * Documentation meets current standards, policies and procedures and is completed within a shift. * Ability to perform waived testing (point-of-care testing) per Clinical Laboratory's and the patient care unit's policies and procedures. * Ability to interpret results of waived tests; take appropriate action on waived tests results. An ideal Candidate would have the following qualifications: * Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. * 2 year's experience in a related field * ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy & Biotherapy certification * Current state Registered Nurse Licensure, within state of practice. * Current AHA BLS/ACLS certification.
