Job Overview:
Founded in 1917, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Rahway is an acute care community hospital that provides inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical services. RWJ Rahway s emergency department cares for more than 32,000 patients per year. The hospital is a Primary Stroke Center with telemedicine capability for 24/7 coverage. The campus is home to Care Connection, a 24 bed licensed subacute rehab unit owned by Alaris Health, and Kindred Hospital New Jersey Rahway, a 34 bed long term acute care hospital for medically complex patients who need intense specialized treatment for an extended period of time. The hospital provides extensive therapeutic services including physical, occupational speech and hearing. For those with heart and lung disease, the hospital has cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation.
Qualifications:
+ Skilled OR Nurse required with Scrub and circulating RN skills in the following specialties: Ortho, Podiatry, Urology, general surgery, - minimally invasive & Robot and vascular. Flexible and a good communicator with ability to work effectively in a team setting.
+ 1-2 years experience as an OR Nurse
Required Certifications and Licenses:
+ Active NJ RN License or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement
+ BLS certification through American Heart Association
+ Current American Heart Association ACLS/PALS required.
+ Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
Scheduling Requirements:
+ Full time, Days
+ On call requirement
+ Call room available if living more than 30 minutes away,

Supports philosophy, objectives and the mission and vision of Saint Barnabas Medical Center and the Department of Nursing. Practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, TJC requirements and other regulatory agencies. Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning. Participates in unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities.
