the Operating Room Provides nursing care in accordance with the objectives policies procedures and protocols of the hospital and AORN ASPAN and SGNA standards Participates in patient teaching incorporates the needs and behavior of the patientrsquos specific agecultural groups in planning and providing care Participates in quality improvement activitiesThe Core Operating Room OR provides care to a diverse group of patients across multiple surgical specialties These specialties include general surgery ear nose and throat ENT colorectal oral maxillofacial trauma transplant vascular access bariatrics urology gynecology thoracic and robotics The Core OR team is also responsible for ensuring operating room coverage offering staff a range of alternative scheduling options
