We are seeking a part-time experienced Pediatric Registered Nurse for our 22-bed Pediatric Specialty Care Unit/ Peds Step Down Unit at Inova Fairfax Hospital/ Inova L.J Children's Hospital.

Our 22-bed Pediatric Specialty Care Unit (formerly known as PIMC unit) cares for intermediate level patients specializing in renal diagnosis and high flow. Nurses will also care for medical/surgical patients with all diagnoses requiring step-down care. Nurse ratios are 3:1 for IMC status patients and 4:1 for floor status patients.

Schedule:  Part time Day shift. 2 x 12-hour shifts/week  

Requirements:

Minimum of one-year Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting. Prefer Pediatric step-down experience. BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required. RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN. Education – BSN from an accredited school of nursing. 
If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN)- must complete BSN within 5 years of start date. Proficient in English, strong verbal and written communication skills Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor towards others. Proficient computer skills
