Responsibilities The RN Post-Partum Staff functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population in order to achieve desired outcomes. This position directs and oversees the care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination. This position effectively coordinates patient care/unit activities among nursing peers, physicians and support services. The RN Staff Nurse reports to the Nurse Manager. Qualifications Job Requirements: Graduate of a NLN/AACN accredited program in nursing Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification Basic Life Support (BLS) certification accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross (ARC). Registered Nurse (RN) with New Jersey Board of Nursing or RN Multistate License from the NCL required. 1-2 years Mother/Baby and/or Medical-Surgical nursing experience. Completed basic AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring Course within 6 months of hire. Preferred Job Requirements: OB nursing certification preferred.
