Registered Nurse RN PT Night Inpatient Surgical Unit

Description:

The Inpatient Surgery Department at Saint Mary’s Hospital is a 23-bed unit specializing in the pre- and post-operative care of patients undergoing a wide range of surgical procedures. These include, but are not limited to, bariatric, orthopedic, ortho-trauma, neuro-spine, mastectomy, urological, gynecological, and gastrointestinal surgeries.

Your Role

As a valued member of our multidisciplinary team, you will:

Deliver direct, hands-on care to patients with complex surgical needs.Develop and implement individualized care plans focused on promoting recovery and restoring patients to their pre-surgical level of wellness.Provide exceptional care and support for patients requiring overnight or extended post-operative stays.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Associate’s degree in nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred.Licensure: Current and valid Connecticut RN license.Experience: Minimum of 1 year in an acute inpatient setting.Certifications: BLS or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.

Work Schedule:  

Part-time, 24-hour, Nights

12-hour shifts- 7p to 7:30aSchedule Weekend & Holidays are required.
