Position Detail
Evening and Night shifts available, flexible schedule; casual/per diem all shifts
Sign on Bonus
Full Time Sign On Bonus = $4000.00 total;
After 30 Days = $800.00
After 6 Months = $1200.00
After 1 Year = $2000.00
Part Time Sign On Bonus= $2000.00 total;
After 30 Days = $400.00
After 6 Months = $600.00
After 1 Year = $1000.00
Position Summary
A Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor / Charge Nurse will monitor our 32 private bed residents & patients, help develop care plans, oversee treatments, provide guidance and ensure that residents and patients receive appropriate medical care in a safe environment. Promotes person-centered care for optimal quality of life. Collects and interprets data. RN’s record resident/patient vital signs and information about their condition. RN will coordinate with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure quality and appropriate care is provided. RN may monitor physical activity and nutrition. RN may oversee the work and provide support to LPN’s, CNA’s & Aides.
Essential Job Requirements
Education: Two (2) year Associates Degree
License: Active New York State RN license
Qualifications: BLS and/or CPR certification (Highly preferred)
Must be 18 years of age. Ability to read, write and speak the English language
Experience: Prior RN experience preferred
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
Authority delegated to;
+ Provide treatment to residents in accordance with physician orders
+ Administer medications to residents in accordance with physician orders
+ Assess resident needs & take appropriate action
+ Emergency care to residents
+ Supervise CNA’s & LPN’s
Supervision of performance and conduct
+ Provide clinical supervision, evaluation and action as required to LPN, CNA and Aides
+ Assist in evaluating performance, coaching & discipline of LPN, CNA & Aides
+ Provide job training and coaching
Administering & documentation of treatments
+ Obtain physician orders and any revisions for resident treatments
+ Administer treatments and accurately record treatments
+ Follow comprehensive care plans related to treatment needs and assessment
Administering & documentation of medication
+ Administer medication to residents in an accurate and timely manner
+ Monitor effectiveness & adverse effects
+ Complete all RX documentation
+ Order, receive & store medications appropriately and per policies
+ Maintain security of med cart and room
Communication of resident & staff information
+ Obtain report from nurse being relieved by shift change and document actions related to treatment or medication
+ Provide coming on duty nurse with concise, accurate report
+ Report changes in resident’s condition, to include house charge and physician
+ Interdisciplinary Care planning
+ Document resident care provided and resident response (or lack of)
+ Review & update care plans
+ Participate in interdisciplinary team and rehabilitation meetings
+ Conduct resident rounds. Observe, report and follow-up
All other duties as assigned
