Inova Fairfax Hospital is looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse Unit Supervisor to join the team. This role will be full-time night shift from Monday – Friday with rotating weekends. Our nurses work three 12-hour shifts. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance eligible for external candidates who qualify.  

The Psychiatry Unit:

Our in-patient adult psychiatric unit is a 41-bed facility consisting of three wings:

14-bed mood unit

15-bed acute psychiatric unit

12-bed psychiatric medical unit

The Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Supervisor serves as a front line leader who is accountable for delivering highly reliable results related to quality and best practices to improve the clinical operations of the unit. Embraces, uses and understands the research behind nursing practice and quality tools. Supports unit based shared governance and decentralized decision making structures and processes. Acts as a role model who leads by example in delivering "Service Always" and in making patient experience a priority on units of responsibility. Requirements:

Certification - Basic Life Support through American Heart Association; Specialty certification (as required by unit) within 12 months of hire;  Completion of a revised Charge Nurse workshop within 3 months of hire Licensure - Licensed Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia Experience - 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse Education - Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or Associate's Degree RN within 1 year of completing their BSN)
