Inova Fairfax Hospital's Woodburn Surgery Center PACU is looking for an experienced Peri anesthesia RN for a Full time Unit Supervisor position. The schedule is flexible- 4x10 or 5x8 shifts per week to cover later shifts: 11a-10.30p. The shifts will be scheduled M-F, no nights, weekends, holidays, or call.
Prior leadership experience (to include supervisory or charge) is highly desirable. PACU experience is highly desired
Woodburn Surgery Center is an ambulatory surgery center that serves a continuum of patients ranging from the adolescent to geriatric population servicing the Musculoskeletal patient population. The nurses in this unit care for the perianesthesia patient throughout all phases including Preop, Phase 1, and Phase 2; and are able to rotate to fit the needs of the unit.
The Woodburn Surgery Center is currently working out of the Inova Fairfax Hospital location, while the facility undergoes state of the art reconstruction The new facility is scheduled to open in 2025.
The Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Supervisor serves as a front-line leader who is accountable for delivering highly reliable results related to quality and best practices to improve the clinical operations of the unit.
Embraces, uses, and understands the research behind nursing practice and quality tools. Supports unit based shared governance and decentralized decision-making structures and processes. Acts as a role model who leads by example in delivering "Service Always" and in making patient experience a priority on units of responsibility. Provides genuine acts of care, appreciation, recognition, coaching, mentoring and encouragement to all members of the healthcare team, to further enculturate Inova's care delivery model and results for all of Inova's strategic priorities.We have great benefits!

One year of nursing experience is required Degree from an accredited school of nursing, BSN, or ADN within one year of BSN completion RN License to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia BLS for Healthcare Provider certification is required from AHA Specialty certification (as required by unit) within one year from date of hire.
