Provides direct patient care in Cardiac Rehabilitation. Monitors patients during exercise sessions. Nursing responsibilities focus on the preventive and restorative healthcare needs of the cardiovascular patient. Provides patient education on disease entities, cardiac risk factors, behavior modification. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in the patient's condition and response to treatment. Participates in performance improvement and CQI activities. Supports and participates in wellness/outreach educational programs and screenings. Promotes early detection and prevention of heart disease within the community.

This position requires providing services to one or more age populations, including child through geriatric, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS Education/Training/Experience: REQUIRED: Graduate of an RN School of Nursing Excellent written and verbal communication skills Two or more years recent experience in critical care/cardiac care. Cardiac rehab experience PREFERRED: BSN License/Certifications/Special Requirements: Possesses current State RN license. Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
