MAJOR FUNCTION: 

Provides nursing assessment and direct patient care in an ambulatory setting.  Collaborates with medical and nursing staff.  Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to diverse population of wound care patients. The RN must have the ability to implement the treatment plan and monitor patient and family compliance with prescribed treatment plan. The RN must be knowledgeable of the policies and procedures of the department.
 

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience:

You must be enrolled in a BSN or MSN program from an accredited school of professional nursing within six months of hire or rehire and graduate on or before the third employment anniversary date into a nursing position. *  BSN or MSN graduates preferred *Grandfathered Exemption of Educational Requirement:  Hired on or before May 31, 2013 -- IMC Hired on or before August 4, 2015 – IMCW Hired on or before May 31, 2023 – IMCM Two years nursing exp. required. 2 yrs. Wound Care, ER, or Outpatient Clinic nursing experience preferred.

Certification/Licensure:    

Current licensure with New Jersey State Board of Nursing as required by law. American Heart Association BLS required. Wound Care Certification required within 3 years of hire.   

Knowledge & Skills:
