Chesapeake Regional Healthcare (CRH) is a progressive, independent acute care hospital system with several accolades and designations such as the American College of Cardiology Chest Pain Center and the Accreditation Commission of Health Care (ACHC) Comprehensive Stroke Center accreditation. Additionally, CRH began an open-heart surgery program in spring 2024 and is on the journey for Level III Trauma Center designation in spring 2025.  

The Stepdown Unit is a 28-private bed unit whose patient population primarily consists of complex cardiac, neuro, surgical and trauma patients.  The high acuity of our patients demands comprehensive and advanced medical management to ensure exceptional patient care and experience.

This is a Full Time position, working 3-12 hour shifts a week. 

The hours are 7:00AM-730AM with every other weekend obligation and minimal on-call.

Minimum Qualifications:

Diploma or Associate degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing required Current Virginia or compact state RN license required Verbal and written communication skills and computer skill required  BLS & ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing preferred One (1) year of recent hospital experience and/or previous nursing practice experience preferred NEW GRADUATE RNS WELCOME TO APPLY! ***Position is eligible for sign on commitment bonus and specialty pay
