LifeLaunch is a private pay short-term residential program for adolescents ages 12 – 17 with anxiety and related mental health concerns. We provide comprehensive and clinically intensive therapeutic services, delivered by a multidisciplinary treatment team in a residential, full-service setting.
Residents participate in gold-standard, evidence-based treatment modalities that are tailored to their specific needs. In addition to therapeutic interventions, we offer medication management and complementary/holistic therapies. Our multidisciplinary team includes an academic liaison as well as tutors and other academic support as needed.
Any RN with less than one year of experience will automatically be placed in Sheppard Pratt’s Nurse Residency Program
Summary:
Performs a full range of professional psychiatric nursing services, including assessing, planning, administering, and evaluating patient care, primarily geared to mentally ill adolescents in accordance with team treatment plan. Communicates with patients based on an understanding of the developmental needs adolescents. Administers medical treatment as prescribed by physician and is responsible for teaching and providing psychosocial support to patients and their families. Provides day-to-day clinical direction to assigned Mental Health Workers or other paraprofessional staff. Documents and reports patient progress to treatment team.Requires:
Graduation from an accredited program of nursing. Must have AHA approved Basic Life Support/CPR certification for healthcare workers at time of hire and throughout employment. Possession of a current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland at the time of appointment and continuously throughout tenure in position. Three to six months' experience, including nursing school experience, in order to acquire necessary familiarity with policies, nursing procedures, and techniques within assigned patient care area and meet the core competencies (as defined on the competency assessment form) required for working with child and adolescent psychiatric patient population.What we need from you.
Must hold current registered nurse (RN) licensure to practice in Maryland at the time of appointment and maintain licensure throughout the duration of employment. Candidates residing in a compact state may apply with a multistate license and must obtain a Maryland RN license within 60 days of relocation.
