GENERAL SUMMARY: + Under minimal supervision, facilitates the transfer of patients to Henry Ford Health in a safe, successful and efficient manner. + Coordinates all aspects of patient transfers. + Utilizes clinical expertise to prioritize patient transfers based upon urgency/acuity, mode of transportation (ground or air), transfer care, quality assessment, etc. + Evaluates and coordinates the flow process of taking calls and facilitating the acceptance/triage of calls throughout the transfer center. + May perform the duties and responsibilities of the Bed Management RN. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: + Bachelor of Science in Nursing required. + Two (2) years of RN clinical experience required. + Experience in an acute care setting preferred. + Ability to effectively communicate clinical information and interact effectively with physicians and staff to achieve quality outcomes required. + Demonstrated ability to work in high-stress, high-acuity setting, adaptable to rapidly changing work environment and to direct and control multiple critical communication events simultaneously required. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: + Current license to practice in the State of Michigan as a Registered Nurse.
