This is a professional position responsible for the coordination and direct care of patients receiving care in the Urgent Care Center at Cayuga Medical Center. This position will be responsible to assess, plan, implement and evaluate services provided for all patients. These responsibilities will include the observation data collection, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient's physical, psychological, emotional, educational and spiritual needs. This position will promote quality patient care by establishing and monitoring national standards of care.\n

Roles and Responsibilities:\n\nPerforms and documents an accurate assessment on each assigned patient within established standard of care\nIdentifies a patient's immediate needs on admission\nAssures patient knowledge of Advance Directives and Patient Rights\nAssessment of patient's discharge needs are completed on admission \nResponds appropriately to changes in patient condition\nAnticipates patient needs based on accurate assessment\n\n

Required Skills and Experience:\n\nEducation- Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing\nExperience- Previous healthcare experience preferred\nLicensure- Current NYS Registered Nursing License\n Current BLS\n ACLS required prior to completion of orientation\n\n

Preferred Skills and Experience:\n\nGraduate of an Accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred\n\n

Physical Requirements:\n\nPhysical: Repetitive use of hands and fingers (e.g., Use of computer keyboard); may require lifting and carrying light loads (up to 40 lbs), including boxes, equipment, IV solutions and stooping and kneeling (e.g., to pick up items from the floor, to remove and replace items on lower shelves and to file documents in lower file drawers); sitting, walking, or standing for long periods of time may be necessary; must be able physically to operate the equipment used for the job.\n\n

Pay Range Disclosure:\n\n$35.63 to $44.18 per hour\n\n
