We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Polysomnographic Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will conduct sleep studies, monitor patients, and analyze data to help diagnose and treat sleep disorders.
The Polysomnographic Technologist provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders, which may involve polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services, or patient care and education. This position may also participate in research projects and other unique laboratory procedures as directed by the Manager and/or Medical Director of the sleep center. The role requires independent operation of advanced medical equipment to record sleep/wake physiology, recognize sleep pathology, and respond with appropriate interventions to ensure patient safety and proper treatment. Knowledge of normal cardiorespiratory, neurological, and sleep physiology, as well as certification in Basic Life Support, is essential. The position also requires the ability to perform special procedures such as Multiple Sleep Latency testing, infant/pediatric polysomnography, ambulatory monitoring, and patient education.
Work Schedule: 36 hours weekly, 3 days of 12-hour shifts (7 PM to 7 AM), with a weekend rotation
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School Degree or GED. Graduate of a program leading to an Associate's Degree, or graduate of a program no less than 1 year long or equivalent experience. Certification: Certified as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or equivalent. Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS). Skills: Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Job Responsibilities:
