You will work closely with local and offshore teams, such as Operations, Corporate and Regional EHS, and Quality teams.
How will you make a difference?
As Safety Officer at your company, you will foster and enforce a robust safety culture within our organization and ensure safety requirements are met. This role requires ensuring all Environmental, Health, Safety (EHS) regulations and requirements are met and adhered to at site level and quality requirement are applied in all project. You will advise on safety measures, conduct risk assessment, and enforce preventative measures. This role involves promoting a safe workplace, providing training in both office and site level, and investigating incidents to improve overall safety.
What do we want to know about you?
Degree holder in Occupational Health & Safety or any related discipline of education.Registered Safety Officer in Labour Department.Minimum of 5 years site safety supervision experience in construction, rail industries, rolling stock, automobile or related industries.Knowledge with HSE, Occupational Safety Management/ Risk Assessment and ISO Audit (ISO9001/45001).Knowledge of manufacturing and workshop operations within the rail industries, rolling stock, automobile or related industries.Experience in MNC and work in multi-sites is highly preferable.Strong oral and written communication skills in both English and Chinese.Initiative, well-organized, responsible and able to communicate at all level.What will your typical day look like?
Implement EHS policies and programs and ensure compliance with the statutory, contractual and internal safety standards met at all assigned sites.Drive and monitor the execution, effectiveness and efficiency of established site safety management system on site, including internal/ External Safety Audit, CSA Audit, Site EHS control.Maintains EHS record, staff qualifications, training records and manage document submissions, including but not limited to Safety Management Plan/ Method Statement/ Project Hazard Log.Conduct risk assessments, site safety inspections. Handle regular safety audits and reviews.Perform accident investigation, prepare reports and drive the FTA and PDCA action follow up if necessary.Collaborate with relevant parties to investigate and follow up on incidents and non-conformities to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, and strive to satisfy customers.Provide advice and assistance in identify code of practice, workplace health and safety legislation requirements in relation to the projects.Organize and implement EHS related initiatives, and conduct periodic analyses to identify area for continual improvement.Interfaces regularly with project team and field service team on project safety related tasks as required.Perform duties required by the Regional and Global strategies.We are a 2024 Circle Back Initiative Employer – we commit to respond to every applicant.
