Summary of Job Duties:"This is a PRN Position"
The TeleSANE consultant will aid spoke site providers in providing timely, non-judgmental, trauma-informed care to the sexual assault victims. The guidance by the TeleSANE will include a forensic exam, prophylaxis for pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases, photographic documentation, referrals for appropriate medical and psychological follow-up, support, post consult follow up calls, and participation in legal proceedings. The TeleSANE is expected to follow protocols established by the Program Director and/or management of the Digital Health Sexual Assault Assessment Program. The TeleSANE may participate in providing spoke site educational opportunities related to sexual assault care topics.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with Associates Degree, Nursing Diploma, Bachelors in Nursing, or Master's in Nursing.
Three or more years of nursing experience.
Computer skills, evidence collection, prophylaxis treatment for STI, therapeutic communications.
Completed 40 hours Sexual Assault Nurse Examination didactic.
History of caring for victims of sexual assault.
Preferred Qualifications :
BSN
Two years’ experience caring for victims of sexual assault.
Sexual Assault Nursing Examiner- Registered Nurse or an advanced practiced nurse practitioner
