We are looking for a dedicated Registered Veterinary Technician to join our Neurology department!
About the role:Master neurological anatomy and functionPerform high-quality anesthetic induction, monitoring, and maintenance for surgeries and imagingCalculate medication and fluid doses for administration to hospitalized patientsAssist in surgeries and advanced imaging proceduresPerform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, urinary catheter placement, etc.Perform and recognize normal physical examination parameters on canine and feline patientsNoticing and documenting changes in patient attitude, abnormal behavior, and changes in conditionAcquire histories and assist during neurologic consultationsPositively impact patient care through collaboration with the NeurologistParticipate in client education Utilize practice management software to maintain client and patient records Participate in helping paralyzed patients walk againCarrying out or setting up procedures that do not require veterinarian assistance Compensation Range:
$26 - $40 hr plus shift differentials and a sign-on bonus up to $3,000 for new full time employees!
Our pay ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for the position.
Work Schedule:Full-Time4/10 Schedule- Mon-Wed and an additional day a week1-2 Saturdays a month requiredBasic Required Qualifications:CA RVT required2+ years in a Specialty setting in the veterinary industryNeurology experience preferredStrong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with staff and clients using tact, patience, professional courtesy, and exhibit confidentiality and discretion where appropriateConsistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates, and other position-related calculations The ideal candidate is a compassionate, detail-oriented, and adaptable team player with strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. They should have a gentle demeanor, a positive attitude, and the ability to learn quickly. Effective time management and dedication to integrating with a team of highly-trained veterinary healthcare professionals are essential.
