1. Functions as a receptionist for the department:
a. Receives and directs all staff, physicians, patients, families, visitors and salespersons.
b. Screens all incoming calls and directs them to the appropriate persons.
c. Takes all messages; assists caller in answering questions or redirecting calls to appropriate
persons.
d. Takes information for consultations, referrals or appointments.
e. Schedules appointments for members of the department and maintains the calendars.
2. Performs secretarial services for the department:
a. Types minutes, correspondences, and educational material accurately.
b. Prepares documents and reports appropriately and on a timely basis.
c. Prepares Performance Improvement reports monthly and quarterly.
d. Opens, sorts and prioritizes all correspondence.
e. Files all documents appropriately.
f. Organizes and maintains files for department.
g. Performs transcription and dictation.
h. Makes copies of billing information, lecture material and routine office documents.
i. Prepares new forms as requested.
j. Prepares time records.
k. Coordinates and schedules meetings for health care team.
3. Maintains medical records for patients:
a. Organizes medical record properly.
b. Adds forms as needed.
c. Files reports in record.
d. Copies medical records as necessary.
e. Requests old medical records as necessary.
SHIFT/SCHEDULE
Full Time - Scheduled for 40 Weekly Hours.
